In a striking new statement, JP Morgan shared how Solana and XRP ETPs or exchange-traded products could become huge, adding how they may become leading new elements, drawing billions within the first year of launch.

The banking giant streamlined how Solana ETPs in particular could draw $3B to $6B of new assets within 6-12 months after the launch. In addition to this, the banking entity shared that XRP ETPs could also be a game-changer, inviting an influx worth $4B to $8B within a year of its launching.

“ETP assets ($108bn) make up 6% of the total Bitcoin market cap ($1,874bn) after the ETPs’ first year of trading. Likewise, ether ETP assets ($12bn) have a 3% penetration rate of the total Ethereum market cap ($395bn) within its first 6 months since launch. When applying these so-called “adoption rates” to SOL and XRP. We see SOL attracting roughly $3-6bn of new net assets and XRP gathering $4-8bn in net new assets.”

This bullish forecast solidifies the narrative of how cryptocurrency ETFs are slowly gaining mainstream market momentum. This development is also crucial for worldwide recognition of the domain, helping it gain regulatory support and strength.

Which ETF Will Debut First and When?

Per Polymarket, XRP ETFs have a 71% chance of gaining approval in 2025. As the SEC regime change is scheduled to be conducted on January 20, investors may hear an official announcement concerning the same before January 2025.

Solana ETFs might get delayed till 2026, as pending lawsuits on SOL may take a while to clear up.

However, Eric Balchunas, Senior ETF expert at Bloomberg, shared how the SEC has given its comments on the Litecoin ETF S-1 filing. This development adds to how Litecoin ETF might be the first to launch before SOL and XRP ETFs.

“Litecoin ETF now has all the boxes checked. The first altcoin ETF of 2025 is about to be on the clock. I don’t see any reason why this would be withdrawn either. Given the SEC gave comments on the S-1, Litecoin is seen as a commodity, and there’s a new SEC sheriff in town.”
