Jack Butcher And Pudgy Penguins Hint At Launching An NFT Collection

Jack Butcher, the digital artist and the brainchild behind the popular non-fungible token collection “Opepen Edition” and Checks VV Edition, has teased their upcoming new NFT collection in partnership with Pudgy Penguins, the team behind Pudgy Penguins NFT collection.

In an August 6 blog post, Jack Butcher teased his upcoming non-fungible token collection. This time, the digital artist has partnered with the Pudgy Penguin NFT collection. The highly anticipated NFT project will feature traceable traits from Opepen Edition and Pudgy Penguins.

Jack Butcher came into the spotlight earlier this year after launching his new non-fungible token projects “Opepen Edition and Check VV Edition. Opepen Edition is an NFT collection featuring a limited edition of 16,000 ERC-721 NFTs hosted on the Ethereum network that is comprised of changing geometric shapes.

Launched in January, Checks VV Edition is another non-fungible token from Jack Butcher, featuring a limited edition of 16,031 NFTs hosted on the Ethereum network. Even though Jack Butcher launched the two NFT collections in the same period, Opepen Edition has emerged as the flagship NFT collection, gaining much traction among investors.

In the past several weeks, the Opepen NFT collection has become the center of a viral trend on Crypto Twitter, driving up engagements and NFT prices. Opepen Edition began trending in June after a vocal fan of Butcher’s artwork known as the pseudonymous influencer Bored Elon, the top holder of Opepen NFTs, offered to trade one of the earliest minted NFTs from the project to Michael “ThreadGuy.”

ThreadGuy expressed a non-zero interest in switching his Twitter profile picture from his initial Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT to an Opepen. ThreadGuy perception of NFTs made Jack Butcher gift him with a new NFT collection, “ThreadEdition NFTs.” Since then, Opepen Edition has become the flag of the “For The Culture” vibe.

Pudgy Penguins And Opepen Pump In Price

In the meantime, Pudgy Penguins, an NFT collection of 8,888 unique tokens depicting adorable chubby cartoon penguins, has reacted sharply to the new NFT collection teaser. In the past 24 hours, Pudgy Penguins’ price has risen from 4.16 ETH to around 4.48 ETH, representing a 4.8% surge.

Jack Butcher’s Opepen Edition NFT collection also reacted slightly over the same potential NFT launching. In the past 24 hours, the NFT collection has pumped more than 70% of its trading sales volume. Moreover, the Opepen Edition price spiked from 0.52 ETH on August 6 to 0.57 ETH on August 7. Opepen NFTs collection is consolidating around 0.54 ETH at the time of writing.
