However, come 2021, Dogecoin was no longer a ‘silly project’ as it surged by a whopping 5600% in the first two quarters. It led to the rise of other meme tokens, with Shiba Inu being the next most popular in the section.

However, with the rise of these tokens, its loyal followers have also grown in masses, and toxicity has evidently remained in the landscape of digital asset.

Both Shiba Inu and Dogecoin investors have capitalized on a huge rally in 2021. While Dogecoin is up by 2555% at press time, SHIB token registered a 1000% return at the moment. Both these assets reached new all-time highs as illustrated in the charts, but their individual communities have been at each other’s neck over the course of 2021.
