Ethereum performed quite well in 2024. It started the year with solid growth and it’s closing it at around $3,362.94.

One of the key developments this year was the launch of BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), and its dominance in DeFi and NFTs.

ETHA, with over $1.3 billion in inflows and $3.2 billion under management, showed that investors now see Ethereum as a serious asset and more than just a tech platform.

Analysts are now predicting ETH could hit $10,000 by 2025.

But while Ethereum builds momentum, PlutoChain ($PLUTO) might take on Bitcoin’s biggest scalability challenges with its powerful Layer-2 solution. The PlutoChain presale is making a strong impression, with over 2 million tokens sold.

Here’s all you need to know.

Analysts Weight in: Could Ethereum Hit $10,000 by 2025?

One major factor working in Ethereum’s favor is the rise of Ethereum-focused ETFs, specifically BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA).

Since its launch, ETHA has seen over $1.3 billion in inflows in just ten consecutive days, which brought total assets under management to $3.2 billion.

BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF has even outpaced Bitcoin ETFs. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted $52 billion in assets since approval, but Ethereum-focused funds, especially ETHA, are gaining ground quickly.

This success shows there’s been a shift in how investors see Ethereum. It’s no longer just the backbone for dApps; it’s becoming a serious investment asset.

Ethereum (ETH) is trading at approximately $3,362.94.

The 24-hour trading volume stands at around $24.18 billion, with a market cap of approximately $405.32 billion. RSI is at around 44.

Key resistance levels are identified at $3,550 and $3,620, and support levels at $3,455 and $3,375.

A breakout above $3,550 could lead to further gains, while a drop below $3,375 might indicate potential declines.

Long Forecast projects that Ethereum could start April 2025 at $4,623 and reach a high of $5,207 and a low of $4,525, with an average of around $4,805.

They anticipate ETH ending the month at approximately $4,866, which indicates a potential 5.3% increase over the month.

Coingape is a bit more conservative. They suggest that in April 2025, Ethereum’s price might range from a low of $2,857.70 to a high of $3,306.18.

George, a crypto analyst on X, anticipates a potential bounce in ETH’s price, with a target of $4k or higher if it holds above the $3.5k level.

PlutoChain’s ($PLUTO) Hybrid Layer-2 Technology May Upgrade Bitcoin’s Speed and Usability

PlutoChain ($PLUTO) is an innovative Layer-2 solution with the potential to transform Bitcoin’s role into something more than a store of value.

Bitcoin has been struggling with issues, such as network congestion, slow transaction processing, and high fees during peak activity.

PlutoChain could tackle these problems by building an additional layer above Bitcoin’s primary network, which would make transactions faster and reduce costs.

One of Bitcoin’s biggest challenges is its 10-minute transaction processing time. Competing networks like Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano have gained ground by offering quicker speeds and enhanced functionalities.

PlutoChain wants to reduce Bitcoin’s transaction time to just 2 seconds while preserving its renowned security.

PlutoChain aims to enable 2-second transaction speeds on its Layer-2 network while leveraging Bitcoin’s renowned security through anchoring.

The platform also integrates seamlessly with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which would make it accessible for Ethereum developers. This compatibility would allow DeFi apps, NFTs, and AI projects to transition to Bitcoin with no hassle.

PlutoChain’s testnet has already processed 43,000 daily transactions without interruptions, which showcases its potential for practical applications.

To guarantee maximum safety, top-tier security firms – SolidProof, QuillAudits, and Assure DeFi – have rigorously audited PlutoChain’s code and infrastructure.

PlutoChain also fosters community involvement through its governance model. It allows and encourages users to vote on critical decisions such as updates, partnerships, and new features.

Final Words

BlackRock’s ETHA shows there’s more confidence in Ethereum as an investment, but there are still challenges like scalability and competition from faster networks.

PlutoChain ($PLUTO) could offer something different – a way to potentially make Bitcoin as fast and useful as newer networks.

By cutting transaction times from 10 minutes to 2 seconds on its own L2 chain and adding smart contracts, PlutoChain could turn Bitcoin into a platform that does it all.
