Amidst all the chaos that has just unfolded during the past month, Ripple continues to expand. As it announces the opening of the company’s new office in Canada.

According to a recent announcement Ripple, one of the most widely known blockchain firms around the world, has announced plans to open the firm’s new office in Canada.

For its Toronto office Ripple is to hire 50 engineers, as the company aims to recruit hundreds of software developers, specializing in blockchain. More specifically, Ripple will hire specialists in applied machine learning and data scientists. It is to note here that Ripple has a policy of inducting 50% of its employees from outside the US. Making the announcement, CEO Ripple Brad Garlinghouse stated:

“Cryptocurrency and blockchain give a great opportunity for engineers to solve complex issues, with the potential for these solutions to impact the global movement of value.”

He further added that, because crypto is one of the most interesting markets to work in, it is no surprise that talented individuals are quitting their jobs at traditional companies and are joining the blockchain space.

As per the report, despite the severe market crash, the market has employed 1,700 people during the first three weeks of the month.

Moreover, considering that the software engineers specializing in blockchain are currently a scarce resource, Ripple seems to be on the right path.

For Ripple, continuing with its expansion, is particularly commendable. As during the past 18 months, the company has faced some very potent problems. Namely, the lawsuit SEC filed against the company during December 2020.

At the current moment, however, the lawsuit is proving nothing but good for Ripple and crypto. As the decision made by the court is expected to provide regulatory clarity to the market.
