Tesla introduces additional robots and refreshes its AI-trained robot army.

A Tesla Bot showed off its capacity to execute duties akin to those performed by people by moving goods from one container to another.

Tesla has unveiled a new video displaying its Tesla Bots, which now look to be able to pick up objects, move steady, and identify objects. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, showed the video to attendees at the gathering of the company’s shareholders.

The Tesla Bot project’s noteworthy improvements are highlighted in the video. This includes improved motor torque control, object handling abilities, and artificial intelligence (AI) training based on human-tracked movements. But more importantly, Tesla staff is no longer required to help the humanoid robots walk straight.

In one presentation, a Tesla Bot took items out of one container and put them into another, demonstrating a possible application for robots performing human-like duties. This activity provided an illustration of how human demonstrations can be used to train the AI of the bot.

The humanoid robots were initially unveiled in October at Tesla AI Day 2022. At that time, the robot’s internal organs were visible and it could hardly go ahead. A second, more full version was also displayed, but it required staff support to remain upright.

Internet users had mixed reactions to the new clip, with some praising Tesla for their accomplishment and others threatening to attack the robot if they saw it on the streets.

The new robot demonstration happened a few days after Musk made his resignation as CEO known on Twitter. On May 11, Musk said that he would take on the roles of executive chair and CTO at Twitter, shifting his attention to the company’s operations for its products, software, and systems.

As Twitter’s next CEO, Linda Yaccarino will succeed Musk. The billionaire said on May 12 that he is excited to collaborate with Yaccarino to turn the platform into “X, the everything app.”
